Nathan and Anna

Well another weekend has flown by and what an eventful one at that. Friday night we headed to Hammersmith to The Puzzle Bar (another Australian bar) to farewell Alana who has lived in London for the past 2 years. Unfortunately her 2 year visa is up and she is to head back to NZ.
Saturday we headed to The Walkabout in Shepherds Bush to watch the Crusaders beat the Stormers! Yeah so in to my rugby Nathan was surprised to see I noticed a change in the Scrum!!!!!
A group of us consisting of Liz, Andy, Phil, Kim, Chris Kinraid, Becks, Nathan and myself headed to a busy Convent Garden for a bite to eat and a few drinks.
Convent Garden seems to have a great night life and selection of bars - we went to a Firestone type Pizza Place for dinner then to Porterhouse which supplies over 100 beers from around the world much to the boys delight trying beers with 9% alcohol - fair to say it took them a while to down that one.

LONDON - ONE WEEK DOWN - A MILLION TO GO
Well after an eventful weekend it is back to another working week. We are both settling into london life pretty well and keep thinking how extremely lucky we are to have walked into a great flat with great mates and both have jobs within a week. Nathan started work on Friday to then quit Friday afternoon to be offered a fab job today for ICI Paints - he is the man to talk to when you want to redecorate your home or for interior decor info......'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'!!!!! (he is is still the account man incase Tim Bird was confussed or had ideas).
Saturday night was a huge New Zealand reunion with the four of us starting in Putney with a late lunch and a few drinks to then be joined by Luke, Dan and the newly imported Jody (Dan's love) from NZ, after a few drinks decided to head to Shebu (Shepherds Bush) to then be joined by my long lost buddies THE TWINS Renee and Kelly.... we had a great night heading to the Walkie for a first snakebite experience and early to bed..We celebrated 7 years together in true Nathan Hay style with a boozy night out with a group of mates.
Sunday was a little slow - all of us feeling little worse for wear decided to met Michael Barton who we hadn't seen for a while and go to the local pub for a nice Sunday Roast Beef with the tradional Yorkshire Pudding - yummy! Walked around Hyde Park, Kenningston Palace, Convent Garden and home to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells on DVD - (much to Phil's delight as he had been moaning about taking his seat on the couch at home since we left)....

london
We arrived in London early hours Sunday morning. Phil and Kim were there to greet us and we werel pretty exciting to finally have made it to London after talking about it for so long.
We headed to our new home in Shepherds Bush and were happy with what we saw. Kim had put on a great breakfast for us of bagels and Phil insisted on making Scrambled eggs!!!
Photos below of our new home....
After having not slept for the last 24 hours we were pretty tired but eager to get out and have a good look around. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben etc.....
We were looking a bit worse for wear about 4ish and headed to the Pub for a pint which knocked us pretty much out and felt rather drunk after one.
Kim had prepared a beautiful dinner for us and it was to bed for us at 6.30pm to which we were woken by a phone call at 10.30am - so a good 16 hours sleep!!!
So we are feeling pretty good now. Had a couple of Interviews today and managed to venture out on our own to find the places we needed to. Think I should be able to find a job ok this time and Nathan has several interviews tomorrow so all going well we will be starting work Monday!

IS LONDON READY FOR US?????

We sure departed in true Toronto style - we are not so well for our trip on the plane to London!!! totally self inflicted.......

A photo of me knee deep in snow - this photo was taken on the roof top of our apartment block while Nathan had slipped on ice landing on his back.... thank god the camera was ok....

Chilling beer has never been so easy........

The bags are packed the head is sore but all in all a fantastic night had by all.

We couldn't be seen leaving Toronto without having a little party before we left -

The email went out and people arrived to party up with us at the Penthouse Suite at our apartment - It is called a Penthouse Suite but more a lounge rooftop party area... with snow outside up to your knees!!!!!

A few drinks later and a 79 % something shot!!!! - off we go into a club only to do the slippery slide home via a last Uncle Tim's double double (Tim Horten's experience) - Nathan opting for a Strawberry Donut (Phil I know you will be jealous we will make a special trip today to bring one over for you)!!!! mmmmmm donuts - we can see it now....

Nathan finished up at Pricewaterhouse Coopers yesterday only to come home in tears to say another chapter of his life is offically over...... I comforted him through this rather upsetting time!

So here we are the morning before we leave for London rather excited about our awaiting banner Phil said he has made us so we can spot them at Heathrow airport.

Yah - London here we come.........

Shit we are both unemployed - didn't think of that.....

Nath's new look - Toronto Style!!!!!

After getting a haircut the hairdresser decided to style it turned to me and said "You like, this is Toronto Style" for me to smile nicely walk out the shop, take the piss out of Nathan, take a photo and nathan to restyle is here again... Kerri we need our hairdresser back!!!!!!! Go the spikey fringe.....
