Basketball - Toronto Raptors v's Washington Wizards!

Tonight we headed to the Air Canada Centre to watch the Raptors beat the Wizards 119 - 101.
The atmosphere was like nothing we have ever experienced. Chris Bosh shot a buzza beater from inside the 3 point mark at the other end of the court, after experiencing that shot the crowd went crazy... no wonder he is playing in the all star game!

The entertainment puts anything you see in NZ to shame - They have music the entire game and really get the crowd going. Bring on Ice Hockey on Saturday night we are ready to see some real fighting action!!!!

MORE PHOTOS!!!
This first picture is a photo of Buffalo - USA looking over from Niagara Falls!!! Unfortunatly for us we all forgot to bring our passports so we could pop over for Buffalo wings and chips.... not good.
Looks like we will be heading back soon.

Niagara Falls
Phil and Kim arrived safe and sound, we headed out for a few drinkies on Saturday night and up nice and early to head to the falls this morning.
Road trips are the best - so many laughs. Nathan drove us and we were all a little nervous as they drive on the other side of the road. He was doing pretty well until after sometime the windows became dirty and we were experiencing extreme weather conditions. It got progressivly worse until we could no longer see a thing except Phil could see a wee whole out of his side - he suggested we keep going straight ahead. Nathan came up with a great idea to maybe put the water on to clean them. Amazing it worked!!!
The falls were amazing it was -10 degrees while we were there and snowing heavily. Everything was iced over and it was really a winter wonderland. We went through the tunnels behind the falls and it was incredible the noise the power of the falls was so awesome. We were coming back up the lifts and there was a power outage - lucky for us we got out the elavator in no time but most of Naigara was out of power.
We had lunch at a nice wee restaurant and was pulling out the driveway looked up seconds later and oh there we go on the other side of the road, we couldn't help but laugh to Nathan's reply "sorry guys I wasn't concentrating!
Big week ahead! -

SNOWBOARDING TRIP!!!!!!

Hi Guys,

Well we set off at 8am this morning on our trip to Mt Louis Moonstone. We hired a car and were very excited about the day ahead.

We arrived around 10.30am eager to hit the slopes starting on the learner slope as both Nathan and myself are beginners.

It was all going well until...................................

You guessed it a injury - the one I said I would warn you about I have done my shoulder in big time. Couldn't get an x-ray today so not sure if it is broken or what......... will let you know more details tomorrow......

I wasn't going to let that ruin Nathan's day so encouraged him to go out and enjoy for the next 4 hours while I sat in the cafe. I couldn't believe what I had done - they say speed kills and I had some speed on and was heading for trees and it was all downhill from there!!!!!

SNOW HAS ARRIVED IN TORONTO!

Just when we thought that we were getting out of the winter weather in Toronto - the snow arrived today...... so pretty!
We went to the park to take some photos of the squirrells in the snow you might see them in the background in the photo below..

Well I (Anna) got a job no longer will I need to stand on the corner asking people for loose change cos I'm starving.... I have a job at Tim Horton's a huge coffee chain with many stores throughout the US and Canada - 3021 to be exact. They have agreed to take me on until March so am pretty happy with that.

Nathan has brought some snowboarding clothes which almost lead to board, bindings, boots and whatever else he thought would look the part for attacking the slopes next weekend. I reminded him that he had never been boarding before and maybe trying it first before purchasing everything might be a wise move. Lucky he agreed.....!!!!!!!!!!!

CN Tower - The tallest building in the world

Nathan started work on Wednesday and quickly made friends with some people from Ireland.
We decided to all go out for dinner that night up the CN Tower - a must for all tourists!

It is the tallest building in the world only taking 60 seconds to get up to the top travelling at 22km ph - The views were amazing and we had dinner in the 360 restaurant. It was very flash and very expensive. We decided to stick to the set menu which cost us $52.oo each for a three course meal. Prices went up to $360.00 for a seafood platter!!!!!!!

Everyone in Toronto can't believe the good weather we are having at this time of year, it should be like this in March/April maybe won't need the snow boots after all!!!

California Park New Year -

We had an absolute blast here yesterday - we are both dare devils when it comes to rides so this was most certainly the place for us. It was also New Year's Eve and the place was pumping after 7.00pm. We ate dinner at downtown Disneyland which were were lucky to get into as there were people everywhere! After leaving there we headed back to the park for some more entertainment. We were waiting for the Ferris wheel and spotted wee man out of jack arse - we tried to take some sneaky photos which unfortunately didn't turn out, Nathan did say it would be funny if he got a photo with him on his shoulders to show people back home! Just packing our bags and heading to Toronto this morning - yes we have pulled out the winter clothes not knowing what to expect when we get there..... Will keep you posted!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
